Indoor cats benefit from predictable opportunities to chase, stalk, climb, scratch and search. You do not need dozens of toys; variety and rotation are often more useful than constant access to everything.
Use short play sessions
Try several brief sessions instead of one long session. Use wand toys, lightweight chase toys or simple search games, and allow your cat to pause or walk away.
Rotate toys
Keep some toys out of sight and swap them every few days. This can make familiar toys feel more interesting again and reduces clutter.
Finish calmly
After active play, give your cat access to water, a resting place and a quiet area. Inspect toys regularly and replace damaged items or loose parts.
