Rotating toys can provide novelty without overcrowding a cage or play area. The goal is not constant change, but a manageable balance between familiar objects and new enrichment.
Change one or two items at a time
Keep favourite perches or trusted items in place while introducing a different toy. Some birds need time to observe a new object before approaching it.
Inspect every toy
Check ropes, bells, clips and chewable components for wear. Remove damaged items or anything that creates an entanglement or swallowing hazard.
Bird species differ greatly in behaviour and needs. For nutrition, health or behavioural concerns, consult an avian veterinarian.
