Rabbits need more than a small enclosure. A good setup combines a secure resting area with enough space for normal movement, stretching, exploring and enrichment.
Plan useful zones
Create separate areas for resting, hay and feeding, toileting and enrichment. Use stable bowls and surfaces that are easy to clean, and provide safe hideouts so the rabbit can retreat when it chooses.
Add enrichment gradually
Cardboard tunnels, digging opportunities and safe chew materials can add variety. Rotate items rather than filling the area with too many objects at once.
Rabbit nutrition and health requirements are specific. Use veterinarian-approved guidance for diet, dental health and medical care.
